Adani Group Partners with Jabil to Establish AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform Under Make in India

AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform

Ahmedabad: Adani Group and Jabil Inc. have announced their intent to form a strategic alliance to establish a world-class, vertically integrated AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform in India, combining their respective strengths in infrastructure, manufacturing, engineering, and green energy to address the growing global demand for AI-ready hardware.

The proposed AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform will integrate Jabil’s six decades of advanced engineering, cross-industry manufacturing expertise, and hyperscale data center solutions with Adani Group’s infrastructure footprint, renewable energy portfolio, logistics capabilities, and expanding domestic data center operations.

The collaboration aims to position India as a major manufacturing and export hub for AI infrastructure.

Platform to Focus on Multi-GW AI Rack Manufacturing

As part of the initiative, the partners plan to establish multi-gigawatt high-density AI Rack manufacturing capacity in India.

The AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform is expected to cater to global hyperscalers, co-location facilities, and enterprise data centers through the production and integration of next-generation liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage systems, and networking equipment using advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and complex box-build processes.

The manufacturing platform will also extend beyond computing racks to include a comprehensive ecosystem covering Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), transformers, switchgears, bus bars, and advanced thermal management systems.

According to the companies, the objective is to create an end-to-end hardware ecosystem capable of supporting infrastructure builders through an integrated design-to-deployment solution.

The AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform is being developed to meet increasing domestic and international demand for AI infrastructure.

Addressing a Multi-Trillion Dollar Market Opportunity

The initiative targets a global market opportunity estimated to exceed USD 3 trillion over the next seven years, driven by structural investments in artificial intelligence computing infrastructure.

The companies stated that they are currently working on definitive operational frameworks and formal documentation to accelerate execution of the manufacturing roadmap.

The AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform is intended to support rapidly growing requirements for AI compute infrastructure while strengthening India’s role in global technology manufacturing.

India’s Data Center Market Poised for Significant Growth

According to the announcement, India’s data center market is approaching an important growth phase, with industry projections estimating capacity to reach between 5 GW and 8 GW by 2030.

The expansion is expected to be driven by increasing AI adoption, cloud infrastructure investments, and data localization requirements.

With global hyperscalers planning investments exceeding USD 50 billion across India’s data center, cloud, and AI ecosystems, and with the implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, demand for domestically manufactured hardware is expected to rise significantly.

The Union Budget 2026 tax holiday for data centers until 2047 is also expected to improve the competitiveness of India-based manufacturing.

The proposed AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform aligns with these developments by supporting domestic production capabilities and export opportunities.

AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform: Complementing Adani’s Long-Term AI Infrastructure Vision

The alliance complements Adani Group’s previously announced commitment of USD 100 billion to develop 5 GW of green-energy-powered, hyperscale AI-ready data centers by 2035.

Jabil, which reported USD 29.8 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2025, continues to expand its presence in AI data center infrastructure through strategic U.S. investments and acquisitions, including Hanley Energy Group and Mikros Technologies, strengthening its capabilities in power management and precision thermal solutions.

The AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform combines these capabilities with Adani’s infrastructure ecosystem to support both domestic and global customers.

AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform: Supporting the Make in India Vision

The companies described the alliance as a significant step in advancing the next phase of the Make in India initiative by enabling India to transition from being an importer of digital infrastructure to becoming a global manufacturer and exporter of AI hardware.

The collaboration is also expected to contribute to supply chain resilience, create thousands of skilled engineering jobs, and establish a technology ecosystem aligned with sovereign infrastructure priorities.

Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, noted: “The world is entering an Intelligence Revolution more profound than any previous Industrial Revolution. Nations that master the symmetry between energy and compute will shape the next decade.

India is uniquely positioned to lead. Our alliance with Jabil represents a decisive step in building India’s complete AI infrastructure stack — from green power generation to world-class hardware manufacturing. Together, we will ensure India is not merely a consumer in the AI age, but a creator, builder, and exporter of intelligence.”

Mike Dastoor, CEO, Jabil, stated: “This strategic collaboration with Adani Group is another step forward in our efforts to create long-term value for customers throughout the AI ecosystem by offering scalable solutions across the product lifecycle.

By combining Jabil’s more than sixty years of engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s formidable infrastructure and energy platform, we can expect to execute down to the rack level for hyperscalers and enterprises here in India and across the globe.

As India becomes one of the world’s fastest-growing AI markets, the country’s skilled workforce and supportive business environment make it an attractive destination for this collaboration.”
